Globalisation is Neoliberalsim : The Political Ideology

While there is a connection between Globalisation and neoliberalsim, it is not accurate to equate the two as being the same thing.Neo liberalism is a political and economic ideology that emphasizes the importance of free markets, privatization, deregulation, and reducing the role of the state in the economy. Globalisation, on the other hand , refers to the increasing interconnectedness and interdependence of economies, societies and cultures across the world.  The relationship between globalization and neoliberalism is a complex one and scholars have debated the nature of this relationship for many years. While some argue that globalization is inherently neoliberal, others believe that two concepts are seperate but related. one of the most prominent scholar, to argue that globalization and neoliberalism is closely related is , David Harvey. Harvey argued that ''Neoliberalism is a key driver of globalization as it seeks to deregulate markets, and promote the free movement of ca...

Theories Of World Politics Part 1:- Realism

Theories Of world Politics -1: Realism Realists have a different view of world Politics and like liberals, claim a long tradition. However, it is highly contested whether realists can actually claim a lineage all the way back to ancient Greece or whether realism is an invented intellectual tradition for cold war American foreign policy needs.  Either way, there are many variants of something called ‘realism’. But in general, for realists , the main actors on the world stage are states, which are legally sovereign actors. Sovereignty means that there is no actor above the state that can compel it to act in specific ways. According to this view, other actors such as multinational corporations or international organizations have to work within the framework of inter - state relations. As for what propels states to act as they do, realists see human nature as centrally important, and they view human nature as rather selfish.  As a result, world politics represents a struggle for ...

Our Cultural Heritage

Are we really aware of our Fundamental Rights?

Yesterday, in Lok Sabha, Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill, 2022 was passed, which is going to amend the Criminal Identification Bill, 1921. Clearly, it is also another colonial era act like UAPA which was earlier amended in 2019. So, there are three things which need to be discussed . Our government is turning into a colonial era government where people were not allowed to express their opinion? . Our government is doing all these, to control the crime data which is rising day by day drastically, and even if somehow Our police manage to catch the criminal, we do not have enough powers to investigate the crime effectively. . Due to lack of awareness about constitution in normal population which is almost 70% of the total of our country, there is minority of people who are raising voice against violation of our Fundamental Rights, don’t we in immediate need of awareness regarding supremacy of constitution in our country? To understand this bill and why it is violating the Fundam...

So I just thought it would be best to write about it. Shweta : The baby Princess There is this girl Shweta who is now studying in 12th standard, full of life and aspires to become Doctor one day. Nobody can imagine that she was harassed at the age of 4. His uncle came to visit her home, and pampered him with chocolates and stuff. First he took her into his lap, then started touching her private parts rashily. She asked for help but before anyone came she was harassed ba...

Review For The Annihilation Of Caste

The Annihilation of Caste was a radical work for its time, a critique too of the establishment as it set about decolonising itself. Its central plank revolves around the negative impact of the caste system as it matters for ‘untouchables’ like Ambedkar himself. This was about the liberation from a centuries old social structure that oppressed a huge number of people. Ambedkar highlights one particular case, where Hindus demanded that Balais (‘untouchables’) follow the rules listed below: Balais must not wear gold-lace-bordered pugrees. They must not wear dhotis with coloured or fancy borders. They must convey intimation [=information] of the death of any Hindu to relatives of the deceased—no matter howfar away these relatives may be living. In all Hindu marriages, Balais must play music before the processions and during the marriage. Balai women must not wear gold or silver ornaments; they must not wear fancy gowns or jackets.Balai women must attend all cases of confinement [= chil...
