Where the wind settles

He is the quiet peak of Sahyadri, Soft mist over a silent hill. He hides his heart where I can't see, Yet holds me close, and loves me still. His shy words hide, his tongue stays tied, Yet in his eyes, the whole world glows— A gentle truth he cannot hide, A secret love that only grows.

When anger strikes, his gaze turns deep, Like Konkan lakes when shadows fall. A heavy still the waters keep, No spoken word, no sudden call. But when he smiles, the darkness clears, Like monsoon sun on forest leaves. His bright eyes melt away my fears, And light the quiet life he weaves.

His searching look meets mine so true, Like rain upon the thirsty crest. A promise made in quiet dew, To hold me close and give me rest. I reach to take his steady hand, And hold it tight through storm and sun. Across this rugged, sunlit land, Our simple touches bleed as one.

He was the wind, untamed and wild, A storm that swept across the ridge. Until my softer ocean smiled, And built a slow and quiet bridge. Now still as lakes at break of day, His heavy heart has found its peace. The roaring tempest fades away, And all his hidden troubles cease.

For I am chaos, loud and bright, A wild bloom on the mountain side. Yet in his calm, I find my light, A place where I no longer hide. He needed love that speaks for two, To answer what he cannot say, And in his eyes of steady hue, My chaotic soul has found its way.

Hand in hand, we walk the path, Where roots run deep in native earth. Beyond the storm and mountain wrath, We build a home of quiet worth. No heavy vows, no grand parade, Just silent eyes that speak for years— A steady life together made Of quiet joy and honest tears.
